Apollo Tyres has become one of the leading tyre brands in the country, with a market share of about 18 per cent. Apart from being the second most popular brand in India, Apollo Tyres is also the 15th largest tyre maker in the world by production volume. The company has a solid presence in over 100 countries with seven manufacturing facilities, five in India and two in Europe, along with two global research and development centres.
The company also owns Netherland-based tyre manufacturer, Vredestein, known for producing premium and performance tyres for four-wheelers. Apollo tyres offer products for categories, including bikes and scooters, four-wheelers, trucks and buses, agricultural, industrial and earthmovers. The company generates about 69 per cent of its total revenue from India, 26 per cent from Europe and the remaining 5 per cent from other countries.
