Michelin is the France-based multinational tyre manufacturer and the second-largest tyre producer globally. Michelin tyre is one of the renowned names in the world of motorsport, serves in more than 171 countries and has 70 production facilities. In India, the brand was established in 1998 and now roughly commands a market share of 3 per cent. The Chennai-based production facility is also its largest manufacturing unit.
The company currently offers a wide range of tyres for bikes and scooters, passenger cars, off-road vehicles, and truck and bus segments. The brand has become widely popular among premium vehicle owners and performance-oriented folks.
