Honda Cars India Ltd. (HCIL) is an automobile manufacturer in India owned by Honda Motor Company. The company is a subsidiary of Honda Motor Co. Ltd., Japan. The company was established in 1995 with a commitment to provide Honda’s latest passenger car models to Indian customers.
Honda India’s first manufacturing plant located at Greater Noida in Uttar Pradesh began operations in 1997 and the plant is spread over 150 acres with lush green campus and it started with initial capacity of producing 30,000 cars per year. Taking next step forward Honda India set up its second plant in Tapukara in Alwar District of Rajasthan.
